About Us

Boasting a near 100 percent graduate placement rate, the Dedman School of Hospitality has prepared students for leadership positions in hospitality management for almost 70 years. The Dedman School employs a global approach to prepare students to serve a multinational clientele and to fill the growing international demand for industry managers. Dedman School administrators and faculty members work with stakeholders to keep the curriculum relevant and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and numerous opportunities for students to network with industry executives.

Academic Programs

The Dedman School’s internship program encourages experiential learning as a complementary approach to classroom education. In addition to established internships across the U.S., the Dedman School offers internships with world-class operations in London and Scotland. Students are encouraged to enrich their education through the Dedman School’s Leysin, Switzerland Study Abroad Program external link icon. Networking and leadership opportunities are available through student organizations, such as the Club Manager Association of America, Eta Sigma Delta, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, PGA Professional Golf Management Club and the Society of Hosts, and our numerous hospitality events. Our unique curriculum parallels the requirements for membership in the elite Garnet & Gold Scholar Society external link icon. Additionally, the college’s Student Leadership Council sponsors several networking events and student engagement programs to assist students in the transition from college to careers. Generous scholarships help support students along the way.
