Students are encouraged to enrich their education through the college’s internship program and international programs. Many networking and leadership opportunities are provided through membership in student organizations, such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Phi Beta Lambda. Additionally, the Student Leadership Council sponsors several networking events and student engagement programs to assist students in the transition from college to careers. Generous scholarships help support students along the way.

Management faculty members are widely recognized for their high-quality, ground-breaking research and are acknowledged worldwide as experts in their fields. Faculty members’ research and creative activity reflect their diverse interests and include organizational politics, organizational leaderships and supervision, unions and worker attitudes toward unions, information technology workers, employment discrimination, employee selection methods, job performance, work and family life balance, work passion and engagement, and business and creative writing. Their research is enhanced through the department’s Center for Human Resource Management.
