Entrepreneurship Month



The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship invites all Florida State students to participate in eMonth. Designed to foster a culture of entrepreneurship across campus, eMonth celebrates Florida State University’s entrepreneurial spirit and provides an introduction to the world of entrepreneurship.

This is a time when small actions unleash big ideas. No matter where you fall on the entrepreneurship spectrum – from accomplished entrepreneur to curious student – eMonth is for you. Join us for the following events:

Entrepreneurship Student Business Exposition

This event was last held on the morning of November 12, 2014. See video from a past exposition.

Students in the Entrepreneurship Major showcase the enterprises they developed and launched through the Sophomore Experience - a class that takes place over the course of both semesters of their sophomore year. These students work in groups of three to five to plan, launch, manage and harvest a small business.

7 UNDER 30

7 Under 30 logo

The 7 Under 30 Speaker Series features seven successful entrepreneurs who started businesses before the age of 30. Each entrepreneur speaks for seven minutes about the life cycle of an entrepreneur based on their experiences, with a Q&A session to follow. Light refreshments are served immediately after the event.

For 2014, the speakers were a top-notch group of entrepreneurs comprised of Adam Corey (101 Restaurant), Brad Pierce (Restaurant Equipment World), JT Burnette (Inkbridge, LLC.), Kim Rivers (Inkbridge, LLC.), Matt Thompson (Madison Social), Ryan Kopinsky (Shop X) and Thomas Brady (dotSIMPLY).
