David Orozco is an Associate Professor of Legal Studies and a Dean's Emerging Scholar. His research examines the managerial, strategic and ethical uses of intellectual property rights particularly patents, trade secrets, trademarks and designs, in addition to national intellectual property regulations and innovation policies.

In his spare time, Professor Orozco enjoys sailing, playing ukulele, reading, card games, tennis, and cooking with his wife Cynthia. Orozco also enjoys traveling, and has visited: Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Spain, France, Germany, U.K., Italy, Czech Republic, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Thailand, Morocco and Guyana. Orozco is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in French.
