Lynne McChristian has more than 25 years of corporate level and management experience in the insurance industry. She has worked in multiple lines of insurance, including life insurance, property and casualty and workers compensation. Since 2008, McChristian has been a consultant for an internationally known insurance industry trade group, the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I). The I.I.I. is a nonprofit and non-lobbying organization based in New York, founded by the insurance industry in 1960 to provide insurance education. In addition to providing consumer education on insurance topics, McChristian has extensive experience coordinating insurers’ response to natural disasters.

Professor McChristian was born in Chicago and raised in Worth, Illinois. She has also lived in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Texas, and been a Florida resident since 1989.
