Nate Newton joined the Florida State University College of Business in 2018 after spending five years as an accounting faculty member at the University of Missouri. Nate received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and his Masters of Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Prior to his doctoral studies, Nate worked in public accounting. His experiences as a CPA benefit his research and the students he teaches.

INTERESTING FACTS

In his youth, Nate Newton lived every child’s dream of owning a pony that lived in the backyard. Though he no longer spends much time with horses, he lives his own dreams of playing soccer, developing his skills as an outdoorsman, and tracking everything he does in Excel spreadsheets.
