WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in the Florida State University College of Business is in the final month of the application period for its Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) class in Palm Beach County. All applications are due Tuesday, Oct. 31.

“We encourage all South Florida business owners to apply before the deadline,” said Jennifer Kovach, director of the Jim Moran Institute’s South Florida Operations. “To-date we have helped more than 300 South Florida entrepreneurs develop the skills to grow their business in our cost-free program, and are thrilled to begin another class in Palm Beach County.”

The SBEP program is designed for leaders of small businesses and is offered at no cost to participants. The SBEP offers a world-class learning experience that equips executives with skills to turn challenges into strategic advantages. Some of the most accomplished entrepreneurship experts, business consultants and leaders from around South Florida teach in the program.

Those interested in applying for the program should visit and click on “Programs” to apply. Applicants must be actively involved in running a business that has been in existence for at least three years, and has three or more employees. The program is offered twice a year and up to 25 applicants are accepted per session.

The Palm Beach Spring 2018 SBEP will begin on January 24 with an orientation and opening reception. The first training session will begin the following day. The program’s nine sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at various locations in Palm Beach county every other Thursday through May 17.

Graduates of each program receive a certificate, are afforded the opportunity to form managed peer roundtables, and are regularly invited to workshops, conferences and other Jim Moran Institute events.
