The Jim Moran Institute and the Broward County Human Services Department, Community Partnerships Division Announce the Alliance of Nonprofit Resource Organizations

Jan 19, 2018

BROWARD COUNTY (January 19, 2018) – The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, which is part of Florida State University’s College of Business, and the Broward County Human Services Department’s Community Partnerships Division are proud to announce the creation of the Alliance of Nonprofit Resource Organizations (ANRO). ANRO is a coalition of public agencies and community nonprofit organizations united to provide current and new nonprofit organizations with resources to aid in their success.

Along with the Jim Moran Institute and the Broward County Human Services Department, ANRO partners include the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development, Broward SCORE, CareerSource Broward, Children’s Services Council of Broward County, Florida Atlantic University’s School of Public Administration, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Innovation Hub at Broward College, and the Small Business Development Center of Fort Lauderdale.

“We are thrilled to join forces with this amazing group of nonprofit leaders in Broward,” said Jennifer Kovach, director of the Jim Moran Institute's South Florida operations, “Our goal is to help better our South Florida community through aiding and assisting some of the best nonprofits in the area, and this alliance is designed to do that effectively and efficiently.”

This resource is available to the nonprofit community through a new, easy-to-navigate website. It works by choosing a category that best describes what stage the organization is in and choosing the subcategory that fits that organization’s need. Each subcategory will list the services provided and take the users to other websites that share their goals, where they will find valuable and relevant information. The Broward County Human Services Department Director, Kimm Campbell noted “Broward County is committed to investing in the success of nonprofit organizations in our community, and is excited to help lead this collaborative effort with other capacity building agencies; we are stronger when we work together.”

The ANRO website supports existing nonprofits in Broward County as well as those interested in starting a new nonprofit.  To find out more information on ANRO, visit http://browardnonprofitresources.org or call 954-399-2849.
