Janille Burton-Bernard has more than five years of teaching experience, both locally and internationally. Along with her general passion for teaching, Burton-Bernard strives to meet her eager GEB 1030 students where they are and guide them through the design-thinking approach needed for career success. Some of her favorite aspects of teaching this course include empathizing with her students by building relationships with them, helping them to develop their self-awareness, prototyping possible career options that are of interest to them and helping them to build their interpersonal skills and their professional network.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in secondary teacher education from Northern Caribbean University and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from University of Central Florida.
