Event Planning

Shuntel develops, coordinates, and manages special events for the Dean’s Office. This includes but is not limited to the planning and execution of the college’s major annual events such as the Leadership & Scholarship Banquet, the Faculty & Staff Banquet which features the Faculty Hall of Fame and the Alumni Hall of Fame. Shuntel also provides support for a variety of other College of Business student- and alumni-focused events. Shuntel has worked at Florida State University since 2001. Prior to her work at the College of Business, she held positions at the College of Social Work and Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement. Shuntel has worked in the special event industry for 17 years and in 2009 was among the first cohort of students to complete the Online Graduate Event Management Certificate Program at Florida State University. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Shuntel moved to Tallahassee in 1998 to attend Florida A&M University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She also obtained her MBA from Florida State.
