Dr. Matt Baucum is an assistant professor of business analytics in the Department of Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain at Florida State University's College of Business. His research applies machine learning and sequential decision-making models to healthcare, with a particular focus on chronic diseases and substance-use treatment. Having originally studied psychology at Pepperdine University at the undergraduate level and the University of Southern California for his master's degree, Baucum earned his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.
