Wells Fargo Distinguished Scholar Series

The Wells Fargo Distinguished Scholar Series in the College of Business at Florida State University is made possible by a generous grant from Wells Fargo. The idea of this series is to bring together marketing scholars of all career stages, to be inspired by genuine scholarly curiosity and intellectual exchange.

Since its inception in 2004, this lecture series has allowed the Department of Marketing to welcome some of the world's leading educators in the field of consumer and business-to-business research. This is an invaluable forum for students and faculty alike to gain insight into and learn from some of the discipline's greatest minds.

As such the Wells Fargo Distinguished Scholar Series not only honors and further enriches the academic culture within the College of Business, but it also indicates the department’s commitment to the highest standards of scholarship, and it helps keep Florida State’s College of Business at the forefront of scholarly research.

Vikas Mittal is the J. Hugh Liedtke Professor of Marketing at the Jones Graduate School of Business. His research is primarily focused on customer satisfaction, customer insights, and customer-focused strategy. Dr. Mittal’s publications appear in leading marketing journals like the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science. In addition to publications in leading marketing journals, Dr. Mittal has published extensively on decision making in journals such as Organization Studies, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and he currently serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals.

Dhruv Grewal is the Toyota Chair in Commerce and Electronic Business and a Professor of Marketing at Babson College. His research and teaching interests focus on the broad areas of value-based marketing strategies, retailing, pricing, and marketing research.Dr. Grewal is a “Distinguished Fellow” of the Academy of Marketing Science and since 1991 has been continually ranked as one of the most prolific scholars in the field. To date, he has published over 120 articles in journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. Dr. Grewal has also coauthored several books, including Marketing (publisher McGraw-Hill), M Series: Marketing (publisher McGraw-Hill), and Retailing Management (publisher McGraw-Hill 9e 2014), and he is currently serving on numerous editorial review boards.
