What brought you to FSU? I was attracted to the cutting-edge research that my colleagues have been doing. I was also impressed by the the department’s strong doctoral program. In addition, I was sold on Florida sunshine.

What courses do you teach at FSU? I have been teaching the undergraduate survey course of human resources, Human Resource Management (MAN 4301).

What is your research focus and why is it important to you? My research is focused on the effectiveness of leadership. More specifically, I am interested in how leaders may influence individual followers, teams and organizational success. My personal experience working with effective and toxic leaders intrigued me. 

Why should students consider studying management? Studying management can help you become an effective manager, entrepreneur or employee.

What is something students might be surprised to learn about you? I like fishing, but I have not caught a big fish yet.
