In 2010, Susan Cuthbertson started Cuthbertson & Associates. Cuthbertson & Associates delivers professional consulting services within the disciplines of accounting, finance and internal audit. In 2013, the company was recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as the second fastest growing private company in northeast Florida.

Prior to owning her own firm, Cuthbertson was managing director of two nationally based project resources firms. While in these roles, she grew the practices to multimillion-dollar revenue companies. Before entering project-based professional services, she spent 11.5 years at KPMG LLP, ultimately becoming a senior manager where her clients consisted of large public and private companies within consumer markets, manufacturing and retail entities. She was one of nine national leaders for employee benefit plans.

Cuthbertson had a proven ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with all levels of business leaders and boasted a strong track record in providing exceptional service and quality talent to clients. She earned Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from FSU, was a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and became one of the nation’s first professionals to be named a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

A proud native of Jacksonville, Cuthbertson brought the same enthusiasm and dedication to her civic responsibilities as her professional responsibilities. She served on FSU’s Professional Advisory Board and the Hubbard House Board, with positions on the executive and audit committees. She was a member of Jacksonville Business Journal’s Leading Ladies, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also graduated from the FSU College of Business’ Jim Moran Small Business Executive Program and Leadership Jacksonville. Additionally, Cuthbertson served on the Budget and Finance Committee of her church, along with the boards of Women Executive Leadership and TaxSlayer Bowl’s “green jackets”.

Cuthbertson passed away on October 5, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Chuck, and their children, Charlie and Julia.
