Dr. Tianming Zhang is an associate professor in the Department of Accounting at Florida State University’s College of Business. He teaches cost accounting and was named the 2012–2013 Beta Alpha Psi Professor of the Year. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics, The Accounting Review and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis

Zhang received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Miami and an additional Ph.D. in accounting from Florida State University.
