Dr. Jack Fiorito is the J. Frank Dame Professor of Management at Florida State University’s College of Business. Fiorito teaches courses on negotiation and conflict management, labor and industrial relations, data analysis and interpretation, and research design. His research interests include employee attitudes toward jobs, employing organizations, unions, unions as organizations and effects of human resource management policies on employee attitudes. His current projects focus on union activism, union organizing and union renewal in the U.K. and U.S. Fiorito has authored or co-authored more than 100 refereed journal articles, proceedings papers and book chapters, and he has co-edited two books. His work has been presented at 

national and international professional meetings on numerous occasions. He has served as an editorial board member for the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Management, and Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations, and as an ad hoc referee for scores of manuscripts for various journals He also served as an associate editor for Industrial and Labor Relations Review. Fiorito served on the Faculty Senate at the University of Iowa and at Florida State University, and he has served as president and vice president of the United Faculty of Florida’s faculty union chapter at Florida State University. 

Fiorito previously served on the faculties of the University of Hertfordshire, England, University of Iowa, Oklahoma State University and the University of Illinois, and as a visiting professor at the University of Stirling, Scotland. 

Fiorito received his bachelor’s degree in economics and his master’s and doctoral degrees in labor and industrial relations – all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
