Patrick Steffens is an Associate in Avison Young’s New York office where he focuses on the representation of both tenants and landlords in their office leasing requirements, including financial modeling, site selection and lease negotiations.
His successful tenant and landlord advocacy practice is owed in part to his holistic and consultative approach in helping clients develop and execute their short and long-term occupancy strategies. Patrick is an emerging leader within Avison Young and in the New York real estate market. Patrick was recognized by the Commercial Observer, a leading real estate publication, as a Top Young Leasing Professional in 2020. A Brooklyn native, Patrick uses his deep-seated, hyperlocal knowledge of New York City to uncover opportunities in the marketplace. Since joining Avison Young in 2015, Patrick has successfully completed transactions in all five New York City boroughs.
Some of Patrick’s significant tenant representation transactions include arranging a 55,000 square foot lease for Hellenic Classical Charter School’s newly founded campus on Staten Island, and a 26,580 square foot office sublease at One State Street Plaza for WIN Inc., a local non-profit dedicated to helping women and children. Patrick also represented The Korea Society in relocating their headquarters to an exclusive Madison Avenue penthouse office.
Patrick also has substantial experience representing some of New York City’s premier landlords, RXR Realty, Vornado Realty Trust, Edward J Minskoff, Thor Equities and RFR Realty as part of their leasing teams for over 12,500,000 square feet in Manhattan.
Patrick’s belief in giving back to the community is illustrated by his involvement with local charitable organizations including The United Way of New York - Young Leaders Committee, where he co-leads their fundraising efforts. He also is the Scholarship and Philanthropy Chair of The Seminole Club of New York City, President of the Rockaway Rugby Football Club, a Recent Alumni Board Member of the Florida State University College of Business and a member of the Irish American Building Society.
Patrick is a graduate of Florida State University’s College of Business where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Real Estate.
Patrick is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New York State.
