Aldo Denti is the company group chairman for DePuy Synthes, the world’s largest and most comprehensive orthopaedics business and part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Recognized for his constant drive for alignment, customer-centric mind-set and delivering business results, Denti has a breadth of global experience and a track record for building geographically diverse teams.
With more than 25 years of orthopaedic expertise, Denti rejoined DePuy Synthes in 2018 with a clear vision – to Keep People Moving. Over the last year, he has successfully led the company through his unwavering focus on identifying and solving the most pressing clinical issues in orthopaedic surgery while developing and investing in next-generation technologies and solutions that transform healthcare in specialties including joint reconstruction, trauma, craniomaxillofacial, spinal surgery and sports and shoulder.
Denti previously served as global franchise leader at Johnson & Johnson Vision. During his four-year tenure, he designed and executed the successful turnaround of the business by modernizing the organization and adding critical new skill sets in the areas of strategic planning, insights and analytics, e-commerce and business model innovation. His efforts ensured the ACUVUE® Brand – Johnson & Johnson’s largest consumer facing brand – fully recovered share, rapidly launched new products and further distanced itself from competitors. He was also vital to the successful integration of three acquired assets.
Prior to his years in Vision, Denti held a variety of leadership positions in EMEA for DePuy Synthes, including vice president of Marketing and Franchise Development EMEA, following the acquisition of Synthes by Johnson & Johnson in 2012, where he was responsible for the regional marketing strategy for the orthopaedic and neurology business units. Earlier professional history includes vice president, EMEA for DePuy, and director of DePuy Spine EMEA, where he led significant contributions to the turnaround of the business.
Denti began his career in Switzerland with Pfizer as a product specialist in the hospital products group, progressing through various sales and marketing leadership roles globally. He has also served in sales and marketing roles for Medtronic and Wright Medical in Europe and the U.S.
Denti speaks six languages and holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from York University in Toronto, Canada.
