David Mobley is a partner in the public accounting firm of Mobley & Company, the firm he founded in 1995 to provide tax and financial assurance services to individuals and closely-held businesses.

Before forming his own firm, Mobley was Controller and Treasurer for M.G. Patton Construction Company 1989 through 1995. Prior to that, he was a member of the accounting and audit staff of Halligan Gilbert & Company CPAs, Smith & Radican, P.C. CPAs and Metcalf, Frix & Company, P.C. CPAs. 1983 through 1989.

Mobley is a graduate of Florida State University and a certified public accountant in the states of Georgia and Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Georgia Society of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs.

Mobley served on the Florida State University Alumni Association National Board of Directors as Chair 2005-2006 subsequent to holding various positions representing North Georgia 1999-2005. He has also held the positions of President 2000-2002 and Treasurer of the Atlanta Seminole Club, Inc 1989-2000 and 2002 to present. He is currently a member of the Florida State University College of Business Board of Governors. In 2007 he became a Director of the WARRICK DUNN FOUNDATION Board of Directors, a foundation dedicated to providing opportunities for economically disadvantaged single parents and children who have demonstrated a commitment to achieve financial independence. He served on the Seminole Boosters, Inc. National Board of Directors 2002 – 2008 and was an ex-officio member of the FSU Foundation Board of Trustees 2005-2006.

Originally from Pelham, Georgia, Mobley has resided in Atlanta since 1983 where he attends Mount Zion United Methodist Church.
