Jason Archer is a Senior Analyst with MetLife Real Estate. MetLife has been involved in the real estate business since 1878 as a mortgage lender, developer and owner. MetLife’s Real Estate Group manages a portfolio of more than $72 billion for institutional clients and the MetLife General Account, investing across both equity and debt strategies. MetLife Investment Management, MetLife, Inc.’s (NYSE: MET) institutional asset management platform, provides institutional investors including corporate and government pension plans, insurance companies and other financial institutions with long-term public and private investment and financing solutions.
Jason is responsible for supporting the Asset Management team in establishing and directing asset investment strategy, financial forecast and budgets, valuation analysis, management and leasing efforts, and capital analysis for MetLife’s General Account real estate equity portfolio and third party investors. The Southeast portfolio includes office, retail, industrial, multi-family and hotel assets.
Prior to joining MetLife in 2018, Jason was an Associate with PGIM Real Estate Finance’s National Accounts Originations team, where he performed the underwriting and investment recommendation of more than $1.59 billion in mortgage production. Jason previously served on PGIM REF’s Secondary Markets Originations team and in a portfolio surveillance and CMBS underwriting role.
Prior to joining Prudential in 2013, Jason was an Associate with Newmark Knight Frank’s Southeast Capital Markets Group, focused primarily on the disposition of retail and office assets for institutional and private capital clients.
Jason graduated from the Florida State University College of Business in 2011 with a B.S. in finance and real estate. While at FSU, Jason was president of the FSU Real Estate Society. He was also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi and Alpha Delta Phi, and participated in the Senior-to-Freshman Mentoring Program. He is originally from New York and enjoys traveling, camping, fishing and watching FSU football.
