Joseph Lerro graduated summa cum laude from the Florida State University College of Business in 2014 with a bacherlor’s in accounting, and in 2015, with a Master of Accounting in taxation. Lerro began his career in 2016 working with Deloitte Tax LLP in their private wealth tax practice based in Miami, Florida, primarily serving high-net worth families and their closely held businesses. In his current role, he works as a tax manager for Lerro & Chandross, PLLC, a family-owned, full-service tax and accounting firm with offices in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. Lerro primarily serves high-net worth families and their closely held businesses with complex tax compliance and consulting.

While at FSU, Lerro was a teaching assistant in the Department of Accounting and assisted with the Introduction to Financial and Managerial Accounting course. He also worked in FSU’s Health and Wellness Center’s accounting department. Outside of the classroom, he was chair of the Student Leadership Council (SLC) and an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, an international honor organization for accounting, finance and information systems students.
