As the Managing Partner for KPMG's eleven offices in the Carolinas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, Joe leads a team of over 2,500 professionals in delivering dynamic solutions to complex business problems. With a focus on fostering an innovative atmosphere and building long-term relationships, Joe empowers his team to provide a differentiated experience for clients.

Joe began his career in Jacksonville, Fla., and has accumulated 30 years of experience working with private and public companies of all sizes, from middle market to Fortune 500. He has extensive experience in business transformations, operational efficiency, acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, financial and technology transformations, and initial public offerings. In 2009, Joe was appointed as the managing partner of the Raleigh, N.C., office, where he successfully grew the firms practice both in revenue and professionals. In 2016, he relocated to Charlotte, N.C., to assume his current role as the Managing Partner for KPMG’s eleven offices in the Carolinas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. In this role, he represents the firm in the regional marketplace, business, and civic communities and is responsible for coordinating the highest level of quality client service in all functions throughout the region. Today, the region is comprised of more than three hundred partners/managing directors and over 2,500 professionals.

In 2020, Joe took on the additional responsibility of Partner-In-Charge of Alumni, tasked with evolving KPMG’s alumni program to foster meaningful engagement among KPMG and its more than 150,000 alumni and retired partners. He has successful implemented the KPMG BRITE program (Board Readiness Initiative for Transitioning Executives) to prepare retiring KPMG partners for corporate board service and fostered the Elevate program to connect valuable alumni relationships with KPMG’s management committee.
