Matthew “Matt” Valeiras is an accomplished Executive with extensive experience in healthcare administration, business development and physician alignment. He graduated from Florida State University College of Business with a B.S. in Management in 2014. Years later, he returned to FSU to earn his Master’s in Business Administration in 2022, graduating Cum Laude.
Matt’s career spans strategic roles in both leadership and sales, including the successful launch of his own medical device distribution company. In this role, Matt was able to convert several leading hospital accounts in South Florida, such as Jackson Memorial, University of Miami Health and Baptist Health of South Florida.
After several years in medical device sales, he transitioned into Hospital Administration when he was recruited by HCA Healthcare to grow their Orthopedics and Neurosurgery service lines for the Miami-Dade market. Matt has assisted in launching a robotic joint program and numerous neuroscience committees, before being promoted to Director of Physician Relations at HCA Florida’s Kendall Hospital – a 447-bed tertiary care and teaching facility – where he demonstrated leadership in driving strategic growth and enhancing operation efficiency. In his current role as Senior Account Executive at HCA’s East Florida Division, Matt oversees a network optimization program across all of HCA's14 in-market hospitals. His initiatives have resulted in numerous best-practices, growth, and improvements, contributing to HCA East Florida Division’s positive market position, physician engagement and patient satisfaction.
Matt’s educational background, combined with his extensive hands-on experience, underscores his capability to lead teams, execute strategic business plans, and achieve organizational objectives. His proactive approach and passion for competition make him a valuable asset to the College of Business Recent Alumni Board, and an excellent advocate for fostering long-term alumni relationships.
