Michael Burrage II is a first-year doctoral student at Florida State University's Rockwood School of Marketing.
His research interests lie in human-computer interaction, services marketing and innovation. He has been recognized with the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship and is a member of the PhD Project. He was also an invited attendee at the Junior Scholars Workshop at the Marketing and Public Policy Conference.
Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Michael gained industry experience as a salesman for a Fortune 100 company and as a consultant for an international recruitment firm in his hometown of Chicago. Michael previously held licenses in Life, Health Insurance and Variable Securities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology from Columbia College Chicago, with a focus on Acoustics and Audio Engineering. His undergraduate research explored the effects of audio visualization on consumers, blending his interests in technology and consumer behavior.
