Steve May is a managing director at UBS, where he co-founded MLM Partners in 2020. In this role, he is responsible for delivering the firm’s investing, wealth transfer, credit and philanthropic services to ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices across the country.

Prior to joining UBS, May was a managing director and banker in the Atlanta office of J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. He also led Wachovia’s Financial Planning Division for the GA/MidSouth region, where he oversaw a team of professionals focused on providing comprehensive wealth planning to successful families. May began his career in public accounting as a CPA with Arthur Andersen’s Family Wealth Planning group. 

May has previously been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist and Certified Financial Planner™ designations. He holds a B.S. in accounting from Florida State University and currently serves on the College of Business Board of Governors. In addition, he holds a master’s in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. May also previously served as an adjunct professor of estate planning at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses. May currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Hillary, and their three children.
