Dr. Xinlin Tang is an associate professor of management information systems in the Department of Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain at Florida State University. She also serves as the director of the Ph.D. Program with a major in Management Information Systems. 

Her research interests lie at the intersection of information system strategy and interorganizational relationship management. Her work has appeared in leading scholarly journals including Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, IEEE Transaction on Engineering Management, and Journal of Operations Management, among others. Since she joined FSU in 2007, she has taught several core and elective IS courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including information technology management, IT project management, social issues, etc. She has been nominated for university teaching awards a couple of times. 

Tang received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Tsinghua University. She also has a master’s degree in English literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University and a master’s degree in management information systems from the University of South Carolina. Her Ph.D. is in computer information systems from Georgia State University.
