Dr. Schau’s research focuses on consumption journeys, brand building, integrated marketing communications, the impact of technology on marketplace relationships and collaborative value creation. Her research has been funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, Marketing Science Institute, Center for Research on Information Technology in Organizations (CRITO) and McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. She has published in high profile venues including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Consumer Affairs and Industrial Marketing Management. She serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Marketing Science. Dr. Schau’s research has been featured in outlets such as Wired, the New York Times and on National Public Radio. She is an award-winning professor teaching at the undergraduate and master’s level. Dr. Schau is also a Filene Research Institute Fellow.
