FSU MBA program touts Top 10, Top 30 standings
Florida State University's MBA specialty in real estate retained its Top 10 status, and its Part-time MBA format broke into the Top 30 among public schools nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2023 list of best on-campus graduate programs released today.
Repeating its No. 9 standing among public schools, FSU's MBA specialty in real estate also improved one spot to No. 16 among private and public schools combined.
"Maintaining a No. 9 ranking for three years straight is an amazing feat and reflects ongoing peer recognition of a program built through the strong collaboration of a prolific research faculty, top-notch students and supportive alumni and industry partners," said Michael Hartline, dean of the FSU College of Business. "We remain exceedingly proud of our Real Estate Program and look forward to building on this achievement for years to come."
The honor is consistent with another of the college's recent high marks – a No. 5 ranking among public schools, No. 8 among all, for its undergraduate real estate program in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges 2022" guidebook.
FSU's highly rated specialization in real estate provides graduate students the opportunity to hone their real estate finance and investment skills. It is offered as an option to all MBA students studying online or on campus and students pursuing a master's degree in finance.
Daniel Broxterman, a real estate faculty member who leads the college's graduate real estate specializations, said rankings benefit FSU's Real Estate Program by generating a lot of interest. "We continually build and strengthen the program, perform at a high level, and let the rankings follow from that," Broxterman said.
A new No. 28 ranking among public part-time, campus-based MBA programs marks a sizable jump for FSU from its previous No. 46 spot.
"It is this kind of significant improvement that indicates we are continuing upward on our path to preeminence," Hartline said.
FSU is accepting applications until June 1 for fall entry into its Online MBA or Part-time MBA programs. The Part-time MBA is offered two evenings each week on campus. In addition to real estate, these two MBA formats also offer specializations in business analytics, management information systems, marketing or risk management and insurance, and just added a specialization in healthcare management.
