Now is a great time to make a gift to the college
The College of Business relies on the generosity of alumni and friends who endorse our mission of excellence. This support has played a vital role in propelling the college into the forefront of the world’s preeminent business schools. Now, more than ever, your financial support is essential to sustain our incredible momentum.
In the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings, our overall undergraduate program moved up to No. 26 among public business schools and No. 44 among all business schools, public and private. This new ranking is in no small part because of your continued investment in the college, which enables us to recruit and retain the most talented faculty members and students and ensures our programs stay on the cutting edge. In fact, alumni giving is one important measure that U.S. News considers when ranking universities.
“Our alumni and friends have demonstrated they endorse our vision of excellence by making substantial investments in the future of our college,” said Dean Michael Hartline. “Along with faculty and staff members, these individuals are without a doubt the driving force behind our upward trajectory and helping to make our new building, Legacy Hall, a reality. Both of these things are especially important as we work to further our preeminence and recruit world-class faculty members and the best students.”
The reasons for making a gift are personal and varied. Perhaps you are grateful for your FSU experience and want to “pay it forward.” Maybe you would like to leave a legacy to benefit future Seminoles. Or, you are passionate about supporting an important cause –research, student scholarships and fellowships, faculty retention, or student professional development. Or you may simply wish to take advantage of the tax benefits that come with making a gift.
There are many ways to give to the College of Business, and our chief development officer David VanLone and his team, Jessica Bivens, Thomas Guthrie andKellie Rattigan, are eager to work with you in determining what kind of essential support works best for you and the college. As the end of the calendar year nears, now is a great time to make a charitable gift.
From outright gifts to stocks and mutual funds, our team can help you tailor your gift in numerous ways. And, don’t forget about the matching gifts that many corporations will also make on behalf of their employees. Please speak with a development officer soon to ensure your gift to the college is processed and applied to the 2018 tax year.
Our college has been shaped by a succession of visionary men and women like you who continue to invest their time, insights and financial resources. We hope you will once again consider supporting our vision of excellence.
