Business Career Expo

Held every fall and spring, the Business Career Expo is an industry recruiting event that offers employers direct access to one of the nation’s best talent pools – Florida State University business students. Open to all levels – from freshmen to master’s -- the expo provides a forum for students and employers to meet and talk one-on-one about full-time, part-time and internship opportunities. The event also includes recruiters from the college’s Seminole Sales Showcase Career Fair who are interested in hiring students from a variety of business majors.

FOR STUDENTS

How to prepare for the Business Career Expo

  • Create a resume highlighting your experience and have it reviewed by the Center for Professional Success
  • Research companies attending the Expo so you can be prepared with questions and conversations 
  • Practice your elevator speech highlighting your skills to employers

Day of Business Career Expo

  • Dress professionally (Students should wear a suit, slacks or interview-appropriate dress. Khakis and a collared polo shirt are acceptable. No t-shirts, shorts or flip flops allowed.)
  • Bring multiple copies of your resume 
  • Map out the employers you are going to meet 
  • Deliver your elevator pitch confidently 
  • Get a FREE professional headshot for your Linkedin profile

This one-day, on-campus recruiting event gives employers direct access to one of the state’s best talent pools – Florida State University business majors – and provides a forum for students and employers to meet and talk informally. The Expo, open to freshman through graduate-level business students, is an opportunity to begin or build your company’s presence at FSU.

  • Meet 850+ business students
  • Recruit for full-time, part-time jobs and internships
  • Promote your company's career opportunities

Participating employers will receive one 10-foot exhibition booth, one 6-foot table with two chairs, a 2’ x 3’ sign featuring company name, company name displayed on event website and lunch for participating representatives.
