What is your fondest memory of your FSU?
In the summer after my sophomore year, I had the most incredible study abroad experience in Florence, Italy, through Florida State. I was introduced to a whole new community of FSU faculty members and students. I took business courses with Dr. Mary Jane Ryals, a retired assistant lecturer, and Dr. Gary Bliss, senior lecturer, – both of whom continue to mentor me. At the end of the five-week study abroad program, students and professors gathered for an amazing Italian feast and conversation about our summer experiences. Most exciting was knowing that many of us would be returning to Tallahassee with a whole new network of Noles.

Why did you choose finance and marketing as your majors?
I have always enjoyed math and problem-solving and felt that finance was a great complementary degree to pursue along with marketing. Marketing has provided opportunities to expand upon my research, writing and presentation skills and my finance classes have challenged me to delve into logical analysis, calculations, critical thinking and foundational knowledge for future studies in corporate law. My dual majors provide a great balance.

What are your plans post-graduation?
At this time, I have finished applying to law schools and plan to begin my legal studies in the fall 2020 term. Following law school, I am interested in pursuing a career in corporate and comparative law.
