What are your primary responsibilities as national service coordinator at Amerisure?
I work with our region’s largest and most complex accounts as an additional resource to support the consistent delivery of our service standard and advanced analytics. I started with Amerisure in 2014 as a senior marketing underwriter.
Why did you choose the MS-RMI Program at FSU?
I chose the MS-RMI Program because furthering my education has been a continued goal of mine since completing my undergraduate degree. Personally, I have known many former students who graduated from FSU’s program, and they have all spoken highly of the curriculum and faculty members. I knew my choice to attend FSU would help further my career in the insurance industry.
How has obtaining your MS-RMI helped you in your current position?
Completion of my MS-RMI was an essential part in my transition from underwriting into my role as a national service coordinator. Shortly after graduation, I received a promotion to this new role. The extensive industry knowledge I gained from the MS-RMI program was one of the leading factors in my promotion. My master’s degree continues to benefit me in my job each and every day.
How have you stayed connected to the FSU MS-RMI Program?
Through the MS-RMI program, I have become part of a close circle of insurance professionals from around the country. During my studies, I formed a strong group of teammates, and we continue to stay in touch and help each other whenever we can. I also have had the privilege of attending continuing education sessions facilitated by the FSU RMI faculty since my graduation and participating in discussions on the importance of providing opportunities to young insurance professionals entering the industry.
