Jose Munoz is an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Management at Florida State University’s College of Business. In his second career, Munoz has more than 18 years of full-time college teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, plus 10+ years of adjunct teaching in the USA, Germany, Colombia and Brazil. Prior to his academic career, he spent 30+ years in the business world as a consultant and in the corporate C-suite, most notably serving as CEO of Chicken of the Sea, the billion dollar international seafood company. He has visited 83 countries and has conducted business in most of them. Munoz has brought many of his consulting projects into the classroom where his students actively participate in the project, and where recent clients have been located in Croatia, Spain, California and Georgia.
Munoz ran track and cross country at Florida State University while in school. He qualified for, and completed, the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii. Munoz has run more than 25 marathons worldwide and has cycled in more than 20 centuries (100-milers), including seven across Death Valley, California. He and his wife, Lindy (also an FSU grad), have been married more than 50 years and have three married daughters and four grandchildren.
