Logan Kanai graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Risk Management & Insurance in 2015 and earned his MBA from Georgia Tech in 2023. He currently serves as a Business Development Manager for the Large Retail division of Markel, one of the world’s leading specialty insurance carriers. In this role, Logan manages key broker relationships and drives revenue growth across all product lines. Before joining Markel, he spent eight years in corporate sales and brokering roles with Aon in Tampa and Atlanta, and most recently advised on risk management services for food and beverage clients at Lockton in Atlanta.
During his time as a student at Florida State, Logan held numerous leadership roles such as SGA Junior/Senior Class Council Treasurer and Community Service Chair for Theta Chi Fraternity. He was also active in the Garnet and Gold Leadership Honorary, Dance Marathon Morale Captains, Seminole Torchbearers and a House Gentleman for Alpha Phi Fraternity.
Logan holds a Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma and industry-specific certifications such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS).
Outside of work, Logan is passionate about volunteering, particularly with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he founded the Young Professionals Council in Tampa Bay. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
