Spring 2024 Insurance Days
February 28 – March 1

Registration

Dating back to 1977, Insurance Days is a career placement event that features access to FSU risk management/insurance (RMI) majors over three days, through a career fair, on-campus interviews and networking breakfasts and lunches. Held every fall and spring, this event assists RMI seniors in obtaining employment after graduation, as well as assists RMI underclassmen in securing internship positions. This event also enables students to network with recruiters to learn more about individual companies and their career opportunities.

Registration for Insurance Days includes participation in the career fair, on-campus interviews, and all conference meals. Registration also provides advance access to the RMI Student Resume Book.

Company registration is limited to four (4) attendees.  While registering, please list the names and email addresses of all attendees. If those attending change prior to event date, please update your registration so that event check-in goes smoothly and wait times are avoided. We are unable to accommodate any registrations over the four (4) allowed due to space limitations.

REGISTRATIONS ARE LIMITED TO 45 PARTICIPATING COMPANIES. RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY BY COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION FORM AND MAKING PAYMENT.

Cost of registration is $650.

REGISTRATION: SOLD OUT

RMI Student Resume Book: An advance copy of the FSU RMI Student Resume Book will be released to all attendees two weeks prior to Insurance Days. Student participation in the resume book is voluntary, but highly encouraged.

Tip: Review the RMI Student Resume Book in advance and reach out to those students who are a good fit for your company. Email the student(s) to introduce yourself and your company and ask that they schedule an interview with you through the NoleNetwork interview process.

Career Fair

Insurance Days companies are provided with display space at the event’s Career Fair to meet FSU RMI students, establish professional relationships and discuss potential job and/or internship opportunities. The Career Fair is also the ideal place to schedule any remaining interview slots your company did not fill prior to the start of the event. Students tend to wait until the Career Fair to schedule on-campus interviews so they are able to get a better understanding of the participating companies and their available positions. Although students can sign-up for interviews prior to the event, the trend is for most students to schedule their interviews at the Career Fair.

1:00 – 2:30 PM Opening Lunch/Booth Set-up
2:30 – 5:00 PM Career Fair

Booth Details:
Participating companies will be provided with one 6-foot table, a tablecloth, two chairs and limited space for display materials. As space is limited, we ask that materials are limited to on-table displays and narrow pop-up banners that can be tucked up alongside or directly behind the table. Pipe and drape are not provided or available. Please review the photographs below to get a better understanding of the available booth space and displays that work well in the space. Participation is limited to four (4) recruiters per company.

Career Fair materials can be shipped directly to the Turnbull FSU Conference Center. Package(s) should arrive no earlier than February 19 and must include “RMI Ins Days - Suite 102” listed in address line or on package. For example:

Interviews

Two days of on-campus interviews, held February 29th and March 1st, are part of Insurance Days. Registered Insurance Days companies must complete the Interview Room Request, which is a separate process from Insurance Days registration to participate in the on-campus interviews. Deadline to request Interview Room space is Friday, January 26. If your company is not interested in conducting on-campus interviews during Insurance Days, simply disregard this additional step.

One (1) interview room will be reserved per company to conduct one-on-one, on-campus employment interviews. Interviews will be held in the FSU Career Center, which is located in the Dunlop Student Success Center. Interview slots are 30 minutes in length, with the ability to conduct 19 interviews over the course of a day and a half, February 29 and March 1.

Interview room space within the FSU Career Center is limited, so we encourage you to apply for space as soon as your Insurance Days registration confirmation is received. Individual interview rooms are small in size, so please limit your interviews to two (2) recruiters per interview space. If a second interview space is desired for your company, please send an email request to Heather Lazar, heather.lazar@fsu.edu. Second Interview space requests will be considered the week of January 29, and employers will be notified shortly thereafter.

To request an interview space, please review the instructions below carefully:

  1. Log-in to established NoleNetwork account or create a NoleNetwork account by visiting NoleNetwork site and selecting Employer Log-In tab, found directly below the NoleNetwork header. For those companies needing to create an account, your account will be approved within 2 business days of completing the form.
  2. In NoleNetwork, click on “OCR/Interviews” located in the left-hand menu homepage, then “Schedules.”
  3. After selecting the “Request a Schedule” box in the middle of screen, please complete the form as indicated below:
    • Recruiting Session: “Insurance Days Spring 2024”
    • OCR Model:
      • Open – For Insurance Days, you MUST select the Open schedule type. If you do not select “Open”, your schedule will be modified accordingly.
      • Select your date. If you want to conduct interviews for BOTH days, you’ll need to submit separate request for each day. Day One of interviews is February 29 and Day Two is scheduled for March 1.
      • Number of Rooms – Companies will be assigned one (1) room for Insurance Days due to limited space. If you select more than one (1) room, your additional room request will be placed on the waitlist. Please notify Heather Lazar, heather.lazar@fsu.edu, if interested in a second interview room.
      • All Insurance Days interviews are 30 minutes in length. If you select a longer or shorter interview, your schedule will be modified to the required 30-minute timeframe.
    • You MUST add at least one position to the schedule request. You can add additional positions after your Schedule Request is approved.
  4. Review and submit your request. Once your request is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email and your blank interview schedule will be established. During the student interview application process, you can review your schedule in NoleNetwork to see students who have applied for your positions and the interview slots that have been reserved on your schedule in advance. Please remember that a majority of students wait until the day of the Career Fair to schedule their interview times.
  5. Note that students will be able to sign-up for interviews beginning Feb. 1. Sign-ups will close at midnight on Sunday, February 25. If you have ANY empty interview slots in your schedule after it closes, you’ll be able to add students you meet at the Insurance Days Career Fair (February 28) to your schedule.
  6. On the morning of Insurance Days Interviews, February 29 and March 1, please present your modified interview schedules to the FSU Career Center staff on-hand. Staff will copy your schedules so they can assist students to your interview room location.
