September 1, 2018

The College of Business will welcome new and returning business students on Sept. 25 at the 2018 Business Bash featuring corporate recruiters, free food, college swag and speaker and alumnus Charles Adcock, president and CEO of the FSU Credit Union.

The main event for all business students, to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Oglesby Union ballroom, also provides an opportunity for students to learn about the college’s 10 undergraduate majors and graduate programs, meet representatives from student business organizations and clubs, and to talk with the college’s dean and associate deans. Students also can have professional headshots taken for their LinkedIn pages immediately before and after the main event.

A professional development workshop and networking reception with corporate recruiters for enrolled graduate students will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Starry Conference Room (214 Rovetta Business Building). At the morning portion of the event, Adcock, a 1997 finance graduate, will talk about the value of majoring in business. He speaks from experience.

“The FSU College of Business empowered me with a dynamic business education that positioned me for continued advancement in my career,” said Adcock who currently employs 10 FSU business graduates including several in senior management. “The benefits of my Florida State education continued beyond graduation as I am now part of a network of leading minds, which has helped me to grow and evolve professionally.”
