Steve May is a Managing Director in the Atlanta office of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, where he provides wealth management solutions to successful families and institutions throughout the Southeast region of the United States.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Steve led Wachovia’s Financial Planning Division for the GA/MidSouth region. In this role, Steve led a team of professionals focused on providing comprehensive wealth planning for high net worth individuals, senior-level corporate executives, and closely-held business owners. Steve began his career in public accounting as a CPA with Arthur Andersen’s Family Wealth Planning group where he specialized in advising clients on the complex tax and financial ramifications of multi-generational wealth transfer techniques and business succession planning strategies.

Steve is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia and has also been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist and Certified Financial Planner™ designations. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University and a Masters In Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Steve previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Estate Planning at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. Steve holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, and is an employee of J.P. Morgan Securities LLC.

Steve currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Hillary, and their three children, Brayden, Abigayle and Lyla.
