Department of Marketing
The Department of Marketing is home to some of the most interesting, challenging and important topics in business education. Virtually every aspect of business entails marketing in some form. Marketing involves the creation and delivery of exceptional value by fulfilling the needs and wants of a variety of groups, as well as the needs of an organization. Marketing draws from psychology, sociology, economics and elsewhere to better understand the basic needs and motivations of an organization’s customers, employees or stakeholders.
Our programs in Marketing, Professional Sales and Retail Management are built around a dynamic, relationship-centered approach to marketing and offer a challenging curriculum designed to prepare students for exciting careers in a variety of marketing fields. The department works with its Sales Institute Advisory Council and other stakeholders to keep its curriculum relevant, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and opportunities for students to network with industry executives.
