College of Business academic advisors are available to assist students with developing and implementing academic planning to support them in attaining their educational and professional goals. Our advisors want to ensure students are aware of the resources and opportunities available to them at the college and Florida State University.

Advising

Appointment Advising

We provide in-person and virtual appointments for students from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (ET), Monday through Friday. You can schedule your appointment through Campus Connect by logging into your FSU portal (my.fsu.edu) and clicking on the CC icon. In Campus Connect, click on the blue "Get Advising or Tutoring" button and follow the prompts to schedule your appointment based on the type of service you need. In order to view advising summaries created for all advising sessions you have attended, you may click "Reports" on the Campus Connect homepage.
 

Drop-in Zoom Advising

You can access the Zoom virtual drop-in link, bit.ly/cobzoom, for our drop-in hours of 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. (ET). During the first week of classes each semester, virtual drop-in via Zoom is available from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (ET). Please keep in mind that during high-volume times, we may have to close admission to Zoom early to accommodate the students who are already waiting to meet with an advisor. Please arrive to the Zoom drop-in session as early as possible, if you want to meet with an advisor that day.

The Zoom link requires an FSU Zoom login. You can access it from your myFSU portal (my.fsu.edu) and click on the Zoom icon located on the left. Then choose "login by SSO" and the domain is fsu.zoom.us. This will take you to a login screen where you will use your usual FSU ID and password.

Remember, scheduled one-on-one appointments with an advisor are always best, as they have very little or no wait time when compared to drop-in advising. Busy times each semester are usually the first week of classes and when registration opens for future semesters. Can I be advised via email or via phone?

If you have a brief question, there may not be a need to come to the office. Please send an e-mail message to ugprog@business.fsu.edu from your FSU email account. Be sure to include your full name and phone number in the email. Your message will be answered promptly by an advisor. Please keep in mind, during peak times, such as drop/add period and when the registration window opens, the office is very busy. To receive a prompt response, it is recommended to utilize drop-in advising hours or schedule an appointment with an advisor.

Due to confidentiality laws, we cannot discuss your academic records over the phone or through a non-FSU email account. We may be able to answer general questions not tied to your specific situation over the phone at (850) 644-3892.
 

Advising for Non-FSU Students

Prospective students, who are not currently enrolled at FSU, should email the college's Admissions Office at admissions@business.fsu.edu. Your email will be routed to an appropriate advisor, who can schedule an appointment with you.
