Florida State University awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree Thursday, March 11, to alumnus and insurance industry trailblazer William T. Hold. 

Florida State University alumnus Bruce Harrell (BS Accounting ’73; MAcc ’75) says he is impressed with the College of Business’ focused leadership and proud of its accomplishments, including its remarkable rise in national rankings.

Florida State University unveiled its 2021 Seminole 100 Feb. 18 during a virtual ceremony hosted by the FSU College of Business Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship. Fifty-seven of the Seminole 100 companies are owned or led by 67 business alumni.

An award-winning real estate expert with more than three decades of industry experience will be the next executive director of the Florida State University Real Estate Center. 

The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Florida, which is dedicated to building a membership representing every sector of the insurance industry, has committed to making a $660,000 endowed gift to the College of Business to establish the NAAIA Florida Endowed Scholarship in Risk Management/Insurance.

The Florida State University College of Business secured several Top 10 spots among public schools nationwide on U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 rankings of online master’s degrees and MBA specialties.

A pair of Florida State University graduates are giving back to the place where they say their success started with a $1.25 million gift to the FSU College of Business.

A new College of Business Anti-Racism, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force will engage the college community in open dialogue about these critical issues. Initiated by the college’s leadership, the group’s goals are to identify sources of systemic racism and increase diversity.

Two College of Business alumni are among five FSU graduates recognized by the FSU Alumni Association with this year’s Circle of Gold Award, which is presented to individuals who, through their service and achievements, personify the university’s tradition of excellence.
